If any of you are still curious, go to the home page of the Colorado Birding Society - try www.home.att.net/~birdertoo or google " colorado birding society" to get this page.
There's a picture of a mountain bluebird on the home page.
And for what it's worth, they list the Eastern Bluebird as an occasional visitor to colorado, so perhaps their bluebird, the mountain bluebird comes to visit us occasionally.
