i still think it's a possible mtn bluebird, no not a redlegged honeycreeper either. tough call. i've one suggestion: can someone get a (nice) photo of the "popcorn tray" with a ruler/rigid measuring tape placed in front of and next to the spot where the suspect was perched clear enough to verify/judge body length in the only extant photo? lining up the 7" point with the bill base area would be interesting. just a thought.
