This morning in Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP, a Yellow-breasted Chat was along the south end of the Pond Trail. It was in a dense privet as the trail turns northward. It gave low, soft "chuck" vocalization. A Grasshopper Sparrow was farther north and an American Robin, first seen by Michelle 2 weeks ago, is still hanging around. This is a good bird for the park.
For the second time, while half-heartedly pishing, a Common Loon flew right over my head. Pishing works!
