My "resident"(since October) rubythroat, "Pewee", who had staked out my backyard to the exclusion of any others of his ilk has evidently been driven out by a male/female pair of hummers who have divided the firebushes into "His' and "Hers "sections. She is clearly the dominant one, however, occasionally dive bombing him and driving him from his perch or from the yard when she feels like it. The enclosed photo is the best I could get of the male in the relative shade where he chose to pose, complete with shmutz on his bill.
