The TAS walk may see this bird if they are lucky, this is a female Shiny Cowbird. They are a more even darker brown color with out the lighter throat of a female Brown-headed Cowbird. Also the bill is black and thinner than a Brown-headed Cowbird. The bill on a Brown-headed Cowbird is a grayer color and is thicker. Shiny Cowbirds are slimmer than Brown-headed Cowbirds. I have been getting up to seven males and females at my feeders in Homestead. They are sort of regular, earlier in the morning and later in the day are the best time.
