Going around the Iori Building at 4h30pm, I saw a Scissor-tailed with yellow on the lower part of the body (female?). Saw the bird again at 5h30 in the back of the Beard Research Center. Its tail is quite crazy when flying right above your head.
What else can I say: life is good when birds come to give you an "Au revoir" at work. I'm leaving next monday going back to France after 9 month volunteering in the Everglades NP. It was a great experience. Birdwatching in South Florida was quite amazing. I will miss the faces that I got to learn, around Lucky Hammock especially and all the crazy vagrants.
Happy winter birding!
Cheers.
Florian
