While birding in Everglades National Park with my brother Michael Jon and his son Jacob, we located an immature female Vermilion Flycatcher in the Trailer Loop of the Flamingo Campground. When you enter the pay station for the campground, make an immediate right and loop around. the bird was hawking for insects for several minutes on the far end (west). We went back later in the afternoon and easily relocated the bird.

Three White-tailed deer on Research Road, a Grasshopper Sparrow at the gate in front of the entrance to the abandoned missile base, two American Crocodiles at the marina store, an all black with white frosting on the tip of the tail, mangrove race of the Fox Squirrel ran across the road between Flamingo and Coot Bay Pond, and Western Kingbird at Flynn's made for a very fructifying day.

Life is good........................ as we celebrated our good fortune with fresh Papaya, Tamarindo and Banana milkshakes at "Robert Was Here" in Florida City.
