A walk along the west perimeter fence of the Kendall-Tamiami Airport this morning turned up two Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. Up to six have wintered there the last two years. The easiest access is probably by driving along the south side of the airport to the canal and then north along the canal. If the way is blocked, you will have to do some walking. Alternatively, you can drive all the way along the south and west sides of the canal from its intersection with Krome Avenue about 2 miles south of Kendall Drive. It's 3 or so miles from Krome to the airport.

A White-tailed Kite also flew over. The fields west of the airport and east of Krome have had up to 4 White-tailed Kites in recent weeks.
