Sometimes I think my brain isn't firing on all cylinders.
I knew it was a short-billed Dowitcher, I even checked the guide because I heard the call "tututu". I also knew that one was much more likely around salt water.
I wouldn't even begin to try and ID a dowitcher down here without hearing a call.
What can I say? I typed Long-billed as the caption.
