American Avocet and American Bittern at Card Sound/Sibley article

An American Avocet flew over us while we were in the North side of Card Sound. It landed on an exposed sea grass flat where herons and egrets were feeding. Shortly after sunrise an American Bittern flushed off Card Sound Road near the road's Florida City entrance. There is an article on David Sibley in today's New York Times Science section.
