Hermit Thrushes, LPK

I was surprised to get 4 Hermit Thrushes while doing some bird surveys this morning in western Long Pine Key. They were in three different locations. Keep an ear out for these guys on any upcoming CBCs - they tend to sound like a distant Red-winged Blackbird. In the afternoon there was a swarm of at least 1500-2000 Tree Swallows over the main park road west of the LPK campground.

I also came close to stepping on this guy this morning in LPK, though a good shot was somewhat spoiled by a humidity-fogged lens:
