As has been the case since the birth of our baby, my birding time has been severely limited. Today was no exception. I started at Black Point hoping for any sea duck to be around, but only found some scattered Red-breasted Mergansers. A highlight was a Common Loon in the channel on the south side of the jetty. This one came really close, even when a boat passed right next to it. I later went to Dump Marsh and did a brief visit to Cutler Wetlands. Nothing spectacular, but I was finished by 9:30 with 71 species. Highlights include the Loon, 9 warbler species, a Spot-breasted Oriole on a wire driving home, and a nice flock of Dowitchers in Cutler Wetlands. They didn't call, but I'm pretty sure they were Long-billed, since their bills were REALLY LONG.
