I think I have won the contest. I have a female ( RT) hummer that I have been feeding for the past month or so( I am pretty sure it is the same one, perhaps even the same one who was here last winter). She shows up every morning and then comes back in the afternoon.
She prefers the sugar water, which, mind you is hanging directly over the firebush and near the hat plant. I have also seen her chase away other hummers...
