I got a good look at the/a Purple Swamphen today(5 Dec 2006)at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands. It stayed around a small clump of Alligator Flag just a few meters down the boardwalk's right (South)fork on the left(East) side just a few meters from the walk. I didn't have a camera but if my memory serves me it still had a hint of some juvenile plumage so it may be a first year bird.
