The Bell's Vireo at Southern Glades WEA, better known as "The Annex," was seen this morning in its usual location near the speed bump on the west side of Aerojet Road. Also seen in the vicinity were one each of Orange-crowned, Magnolia and Black-throated Blue Warbler. No Bell's were seen at Lucky Hammock, but I did see Yellow-breasted Chat, Summer Tanager, Painted Bunting and Grasshopper Sparrow, among other species.

This afternoon I hiked Snake Bight Trail in Everglades National Park. The trail is mowed and completely passable. Mosquitoes were present but numbers were tolerable. No flamingoes were seen today, only American White Pelicans and scattered waders. Found along the trail were Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Eastern Phoebe, Great Crested Flycatcher, Blue-headed Vireo, Northern Parula, Orange-crowned, Yellow-throated, Prairie and Black-and-white Warblers, American Redstart, Waterthrush sp. (several heard), Common Yellowthroat and Indigo and Painted Bunting.

Several Roseate Spoonbills and a White-crowned Pigeon were seen during a quick stop at Paurotis Pond.
