Lucky Hammock killing fields Sunday

A trip to Lucky Hammock produced enough feathers, scattered around in piles, to stuff a pillow or two. They appeared to be all dove feathers, and one pile even contained an unplucked dove. I also found some unexploded ordnance.
I have no problem with duck and dove hunters legally following their hobby, but I wonder how many Harriers, Sandhill Cranes, egrets, Red-shouldered Hawks and Kestrels succumb to the boredom of a bad hunt every year?
