Nope, its not a palm warbler.
That is a bird I know rather well especially after recently having one run onto my beach blanket twice and stare at me.
This bird is bigger than that and has more of a red head.
My first thought as a former canary breeder was that it looked like a bigger and chunky canary.
But then again maybe it was a freudian thing because I had just seen two (FIY,FOS) canary winged parakeets.
I'll keep trying to get a picture but the resident hawks are making everything but the grackles and RWblackbirds stay low profile right now.
