Had a great warbler morning at this cemetary in Fort Lauderdale (thanks Bryant Roberts!) Birded for a while with Monty and Angie who are apparent regulars. Saw the following:
Chestnut sided(imm)2
Black & white (2+)
Redstart (5+)
Yellow-throated (1)
BTB (10+)
HOODED 2+ (perfect male) NE corner came right up to me
Cape May (2+)
Parula (4 or so)
Prairie same
Blackpoll (FOS for me) but only one female
Oven bird 2
Common Yellowthroat 1 or 2
Worm-eating 1 (with the Hooded in the NE corner)
Blackburnian 1 (I didn't see it)
Gnatcatchers (lots)
Ovenbird (2)
NO PALMS (and I really looked!)
Other birds seen were Red and White-eyed Vireos; Eastern Kingbirds high in an Australian Pine (about 4); my FOS Catbird; three Cooper's hawks who apparently nest there; and a lifer for the day Swainson's Thrush - 3 of them followed me around most of the morning!
All this only about 1/2 hour from my house.
