While anything is possible, don't hold your breath waiting for a Golden-crowned Kinglet to show up in South Florida. According to Stevenson and Anderson (1994), all Florida records for this species are from north of Lake Okeechobee. There was a report from 1969 of three seen on the Ft. Lauderdale CBC, but the report was not accepted.
