Every year there are 5-10 Wood Storks who appear in Oct-Nov and camp out in and along the canal along Military Trail in Boca/Deerfield area. You can always spot at least three at a time as you drive a few blocks. I originally thought it was odd, but they return every year and appear to like the food available there (snails?)
