Saturday afternoon (11/11), Wendy and Rich Wallace and I saw an American Bittern lurking in the reeds on the north edge of the big pond. Wow! Also part of the show: 2 ospreys, 1 harrier, mottled ducks, wood storks, yellowlegs, white ibis, various egrets, many coots, and so on.
