I had dinner under the tent last night and it was quiet. Not even cicadias or catbirds.
This morning 8:30-1030 the warblers were all over the north berm from the west end by the pump all the way to the wetland. Over 50-60 by my count with most being yellow-rumps. The red-shouldered hawk was sitting in the dead tree between the school and the oak meadow area in the northwest corner.
No school today. Good time to poke around. Try sunset thru dusk time. We've got some hard to get blolly trees being delivered so I will be out there at 4:45-5:30 time.
My pictures of the hummers are developed. We aren't talking Trey-quality here cuz all I had was a 200mm at 45 feet but you can tell they are hummingbirds. First time we got them on film on the site.
