a few FIU birds

My usual mid- afternoon stroll around campus. I encountered a hairy woodpecker ( no, not a downy and not a sapsucker)in the tree behind the library. As I proceeded to the live oaks behind the business school, a scarlet tanager ( female), a redstart, a few gnatcatchers, too many palm warblers to count, and a hummer! ( ruby throat). This was the first hummer that I have ever seen at FIU, so I guess I will add it to my " birding while not working"list..
Cheers!
