There was an impressive movement of Jaegers late this afternoon off J. U. Lloyd State Park just south of the Port Everglades Inlet. Between 3:30 and 5:00 PM about 125 Pomarine Jaegers in flocks of 15 to 45 heading south passed close enough to be identified. About twenty more Jaegers alone or in smaller groups passed by too far out to be identified.

Northern Gannets were also moving through steadily alone or in very small groups and close to a hundred were seen, mostly first year birds with a few adults but very few if any intermediate age birds. There was also a steady southward movement of well over a hundred Laughing Gulls and lesser numbers of Royal Terns.
