It was nifty to see 4 Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks make a brief water stop in the lake at Plantation Heritage Park in Fort Lauderdale on Monday 10/30. They only drank, were nervous acting, then flew away. Black with distinctive large white wing stripe, strong fast wingbeats, large eyes with white eyering, almost glowing bright orange beaks, long grey necks. Beautiful! Also lots of raptors, Broad-Winged Hawk, Coopers, Sharp-Shinned, Merlin, Kestrel.
