Trey, before I posted, I took a long look in three of my books and googled it heavily including Larry's pics. Also, had my Sibley's with me at the time. I'm pretty confident. I've seen quite a few White-eyed over the years, and the thing that made me look it up in the first place was the spectacle not going all the way around.
It was middle of the day; I was in the park from about noon to 2pm. As you look into the park from the parking lot (facing east) there is a set of Australian Pines. It was in the in the small shrub bushes just to the south (right) of these pines and also in the large fig? tree right there. If you need any more info, email me and I can give you my number. There's a good chance I can meet you there tomorrow if you want.
