Hoechoka Hammock in Parkland (north Broward) has seen a significant increase in catbirds and brown thrashers. Black throated blue Warblers have decreased after that huge number for the last twoo weeks. Palms warblers are "underfoot" everywhere and a snipe showed up today (our first) and several more wedges of mottled ducks settled in. One pileated did a flyover and a red shouldered hawk kept about 50 dove at bay for over an hour. Also, Holly and Johni (sp?) auduboners from Broward reported an overbird in the hammock proper. Painted buntings are now here and several of the feeders are being adjusted for their need for privacy.
