Wednesday and today I birded the new Tall Cypress Natural Area just west of State Road 7 and Sample Road on Turtle Run road. There is an elevated walkway thru a cypress hammock. I saw a black and white warbler, a tropical parula, a worm eating warbler, many blue grey gnatcatchers, a spotbreasted oriole and a pileated woodpecker, also a ruddy daggerwing butterfly. I can't wait til the Spring migration to see what this place will serve up.
