I went back to the park this morning hoping to get a Swainson's or Gray-ckeeked Thrush, but failed. I still don't know why I have not found even one this fall. A lot of birds departed last night, and the wind was making birding a little difficult. There were a few species around that I did not see yesterday, though.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Eastern Wood-pewee
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Gray Catbird
Northern Parula
Tennessee Warbler- at least five in one area
Magnolia Warbler- once again same two in same spots
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Ovenbird
Worm-eating Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Painted Bunting
Indigo Bunting
I stopped by my mom's house on the way back, only to find a Magnolia Warbler feeding in the only tree in the yard.
