After taking the SAT today (ughh), and spending the rest of the day with friends, I decided to get out and bird. I made the fifteen minute drive to Enchanted Forest in North Miami. I immediatly noticed several warblers in the parkinglot. Lots of birds, but low number of species. I had some "quality" birds, though.
In forty-five minutes in the late afternoon:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Eastern Wood-pewee
Traill's species
Least Flycatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Gray Catbird
Northern Parula
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler- same two in same spots
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Palm Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Ovenbird
Common Yellowthroat
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Painted Bunting- including nice male
