Having moved from my carefully crafted Bunting haven yard (which the Landlords immediately cleared :() to another abode this summer, I have had fingers crossed that my new plantings here would be attractive to birds this season.
Seeems like the efforts have paid off!!!
I now have my first hummingbird at the feeders, redstarts, b/g gnatcatchers and a few warblers in the Gumbo Limbo tree and unfortunately found a dead ovenbird by the fence line out back (maybe a hawk dropped it?)
So Georgiana and everyone else out there -please consider planting your own yards for the birds-it doesn't take a lot and the birds will reward you!!!
