At Hoechoka Hammock, Parkland; three ruby-throated hummers at Hamelia patens and nearby around 50 warbler types which included prairie, palm, some parulas (2). The birds were very active feeding (is there a major/minor period as in fishing?). Overall the progress was slowly southward. The feeding frenzy began at 8:35 AM and ended by 9:00. Also noted is that the mockingbirds have become very musical singing for long periods and with variations more common to Spring then early fall. Must be the full moon? Speaking of which I was treated to many sightings of unknown birds as they passed the full setting moon this early. AM.
