I spent two hours wandering Enchanted Forest Park this morning, hoping to pick up some good birds. I ended up with fourteen species of warbler and a couple other species.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Eastern Wood-pewee
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo- most abundant bird of the day
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Thrush species- flew right by me and kept going
Blue-winged Warbler- near tot lot
Northern Parula
Magnolia Warbler- two
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Palm Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Ovenbird
Hooded Warbler
Summer Tanager- two, including a very bright male
Baltimore Oriole
Bobolink
Between the Tennessee, Chestnut-sided, Northern Waterthrush, and Yellow-breasted Chat yesterday, I have eighteen warbler species so far this weekend.
