sounds like a female Painted Bunting. i've seen one there before.


: Jan 21 at 11.30: the juv. white morph snow goose was still present. Other birds included:
: least sandpiper 1,lesser yellowlegs 9, greater yellowlegs 2, killdeer 3, wood storks, northern harrier
: red-shouldered hawk, savannah sparrows, eastern phoebe, and a short glimpse of a green bird, that I only could identify as a juv/female scarlet tanager. It was feeding in the dry bushes just east of the track, but disaappeared, and didnīt show up again. Is this sighting "possible" considering the time of the year?
