Rafael, Allison, Michelle, Hannah, and I spent Sunday morning recovering from the weekend by doing a little birding. We hit AD Barnes early and found the Kentucky warbler that Paul had reported several days earlier. We were graced by several close visits of the spotted skunk family, and a pleasurable bumping-into by the TAS weekend walkers. Our real goal, though, was to try some digiscoping at the 232nd water retention areas (aka Manfredi Marsh, aka Mandingo Marsh, aka Marsh).

At the marsh were all of the regular shorebirds, and the following goodies:

10 Black Terns
200 Blue-winged Teal
1 American Widgeon
1 Wilson's Phalarope
1 White-rumped Sandpiper
many Bobolinks flying over, and a few perching in the grass

Cheers
