I stopped at Sadowski for a minute (more like 15) this afternoon and found a good amount of birds. While evading all the Spot-breasted Orioles, I managed to see 8 warbler species, with a FOTS Black-throated Green. Also saw the following:
Baltimore Oriole
Spot-breasted Oriole (hundreds and hundreds)
Summer Tanager
Gray-cheeked Thrush (2)
Swainson's Thrush (3)
Red-eyed Vireo (several)
With a cold front moving through the state, and with reports of fallouts farther north, it's time to check out all the hot spots, including Barnes, Matheson, Baggs, and Lucky Hammock/Annex
in the next couple of days. I hope the birds I saw today are still there for Sunday's walk. If not, hopefully even better stuff will come in! Time to bird!
