Finally, I get to bird!
A short afternoon walk around Enchanted Forest in North Miami produced:
Eastern Kingbird
Yellow-throated Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Northern Parula
Tennessee Warbler- fos for me
Blackburnian Warbler- another fos for me
Prairie Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler
Back at the house I had Yellow-throated Vireo, Black-throated Blue Warbler, American Redstart and an Ovenbird.
At our really early cross country practice this morning at FIU North Campus, I saw and heard a lot of birds. Once again, very frustrating to not be able to stop and see the birds. Northern Waterthrushes were heard, as were plenty of other chips and squeeks. At one point I heard a bunting like "bizzr" from above, looked up, and saw a Blue Grosbeak fly into a patch of buttonwood.
Hopefully I'll show up at Matheson Hammock tomorrow (unless I don't finish one of those dumb college essays...)
