Fall Frustration

Between cross country practice (even on saturday mornings!), races, soccer practice, and a large amounts of homework, the fall for me has been very uneventful. The most I've done so far this season is lead a short walk around Enchanted Forest in North Miami.
However today I heard a Palm Warbler or two and even saw one during a soccer game. A Cooper's Hawk, Merlin, and Chimney Swifts were also seen at the soccer fields.

During a cross country race at Larry and Penny Tompson Park yesteday, I saw a Merlin, Barn and Bank Swallows, and heard a few warbler species.

Last Saturday at yet another meet at Palmer Trinity School in cutler Ridge, many birds were around. Warblers were abundant during the race, as was a possible Eastern Wood-pewee, but I couldn't get good looks. Later on that day I saw the wheatear, so I'm not too mad.

Overall, I've been pretty frustrated, being that I have not been able to bird, even when there are plenty of birds right in front of me. Maybe Sunday...
