It's hard to determine a ratio because of the many Traill's that are never heard. In both last year and this year I've only had one that was clearly a Willow from its call. It's possible that some of the others that haven't called are also willows, but we will never know. Could be that Alders are more apt to call this time of year than Willows, or just a matter of greater numbers. ?????
