Yes we do. My introduction to birding was an afternoon trip to Flynn's near ENP (SW 212 Ave. just north of 9336) to see the Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and Western Kingbirds that would perch on the wires at dusk. We had a nice surprise that time with a Western Tanager also present. I didn't see any Scissor-taileds there last winter, but there were several near the intersection of SW 312 St. and 212 Ave. They usually arrive down here in December. Both Flynn's and the 312 St. spot are good between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. You can also see them at different places throughout winter, such as ENP and I even saw one on a wire while driving home on the Turnpike at Okeechobee Road. Sometimes while driving through Florida City they can be seen on the wires. Keep an eye out for a Fork-tailed Flycatcher. We are overdue for one down here!
