Because of limited time this morning and Toes sighting of the Acadian
Flycatcher I decided to go to AD Barnes to bird. I arrived at 7am and birded the
south parking lots and Homeless Hammock first. I saw several warbler species but
I was hearing more than I was seeing. Most of the birds were not moving around
yet.
I headed to the main hammock area in the north end of the park. It was very
birdy there with a pretty good variety of migrants. I was looking for the
Swainsons Warbler and the Acadian primiarily but didn't see either.
I ran into "Rock Jetty", Greg and Debbie Jones and one other birder. Everyone
was seeing the same birds, except that Greg and his wife spotted an Orange
Crowned Warbler.
