As much as I hoped for an Acadian to make for a nice flycatcher day, these at the Annex were Alders. The photos do not show the primary projections, which are too short for Acadian. Also, the birds called, and Larry has even recorded these little guys, confirming that they are Alders.
The other flycatcher at the Annex was definitely a Trailli, since it too had primary projections that were too short for Acadian. Unfortunately, we didn't hear it call so we can't say which one. We did hear a Least at Lucky Hammock, which we had a brief look at a few days ago. We get Least, Alder, and Willow, but we can't find an Acadian. I hate when that happens!
