I've seen people do all those things and more. Nobody's perfect, not even birds. But I give them all the credit in the world and then some. Not just the ones that travel over 40,000 miles each year, but all of them (even the flightless). Because all will have some feat that leaves us dumbfounded.
One such example can be seen at this very moment as you drive through the sod fields of Palm Beach County or along the Tamiami Trail in Miami-Dade. Swarms of Barn and Bank Swallows zipping by and coming within mere centimeters of your car, but yet avoiding it as you drive 55 mph...the envy of any jet fighter pilot! Another reason why you should obey speed limits: not all of them make it if you're pushing 80.
