Went to AD Barnes this morning looking for migrants. It was fairly quiet, but
not void of activity. There were several very small groups of migrants
throughout the park and lots of Gnatcatchers.
I saw:
Black and White - 4
Prairie - 8
Yellow-Throated - 5
Parula - 6
Black-throated Blue - 2
Red Start - 5
Ovenbird - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 8
Tufted Titmouse - 1
Spot-breasted Oriole - 1
Blue-grey Gnatcatchers - ~ 50
Brown Thrasher 1
Great Crested Flycatcher 1
Lots of Mockingbirds and White Ibis
A few photos:
???
Two Raccoons after some freebees on the picnic table. There were several feral
cats around as well. I wish people would stop feeding them. I caught on cat
jumping to try and catch a warbler, unsuccessfully.
Beware of the Viscous Bark Ripping Squirrel...
Northern Parula
Scruffy looking Spot-breasted Oriole - was singing beautifully though.
Yellow Throated Warbler
