Thirty-seven birders accompanied Larry Manfredi on Tropical Audubon's pelagic trip
yesterday out of Islamorada on the Gulf Lady. Birding at both the 409 and Islamorada
Humps, the group enjoyed blue skies, light winds and calm seas. Here's what we saw,
both at the dock and out at sea:

Audubon's Shearwater: great looks both on the water and in flight
Cory's Shearwater: numerous up-close looks both on the water and in flight
Greater Shearwater: unbelievably close-up looks both on the water (side by side with
Cory's for excellent comparative and photographic opportunities)
and in flight
Wilson's Storm Petrel: one distant in-flight view
Brown Booby: close looks both on the water and in flight
Brown Pelican
Double-crested Cormorant
Magnificent Frigatebird
Great White Heron
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Little Blue Heron
Black-crowned Night Heron
