OK, I take full responsibility for the incorrect ID of this bird, but here's the story. After we had seen all 3 peeps at the dump site, we went to Black Point where we had about 8 Spotted Sandpipers and several Turnstones. Just before the rain bands moved in, this bird flew in right in front of us. Both Trey and I immediately thought it was a Least, but... the legs looked dark, not yellow. The photos now show some yellow, but this was not the case in person. It also lacked the brownish tones of a least. The bird looks grayish, not brown, and looked even more gray in person. We then considered Western, but it seemed a little too small for western, and not as pale. We had a stereotypical basic plumage Western at the dump and this was nothing like it. By process of elimination, and with massive rain heading our way, we just let it go as Semipalm and ran for the car. I now think it is a Least. If not, then it's a...

LITTLE STINT!!!!!!!!!!!!
