I forgot to mention that according to "North American Shorebirds, the photographic guide" juvenile Semipalmated Sandpipers often have pale or even yellow legs.

This fact also give more evidence that the bird in the photo is a Semipalmated not a Western Sandpiper. I found no mention of Westerns ever having pale or yellow legs.

Good birding, and I need to find and photograph that Baird's also... LOL :)

Forgive my usual typos in the previous post, I'm running on very little sleep.
