I have often wondered if the increase of vultures in our area is more than just winter motion, but a result of the road kills on Alligator Alley and Tamiami when the the traffic increases in the November-March time frame. In other words, maybe like the bears go to the salmon, the vultures go for where the "shopping" for road kills is so positive and immediate.
