The September monthly TAS meeting will feature bird video.
The program will demonstrate behaviors that can be seen with
video, but are not apparent in still photographs. Topics to be covered include variations in diving techniques among loons, grebes and ducks, details of wingbeats in waterfowl and raptors, courtship flight displays of shorebirds and sparrows, and even some sex. All with the sound and movement that makes video so much fun. Because video allows you to get closer with less trouble than photography, there will be some nice close-ups of small birds, too. There will be ample time for your questions about bird videography techniques.
The monthly meeting is Tuesday (they've gone back to Tuesdays) Sept. 12.
