Warblers increasing

yellow throated, gnatcatchers,, yellow warblers moving through Hoechoka Hammock in increasing nuymbers. More redstarts every day. Mottled duck numbers on the rise and numerous green herons feeding in the canals on east and north side. Also, last evening as rain was abating about 7 nighthawks were feeding overhead...no calls. Silent.

At high altitude about 25 birds soaring southward...no binoculars so no idea what they were. Big as vultures/hawks. They sure got a good lift from the thunderstorms and cumulus clouds piling up. And yet more doves arriving. They are everywhere on the 24 acres and still split between white winged and mourning with only a few ring-necked.
